Bronze replica of viking mace from Gotland - Grötlingbo
 
The mace is a fully functional powerful weapon, made of historically accurate material. 
 
I sculpted it according to the historical findings in Gotland, which was a great business centre. 
 
Maces of this type were used in real battles but mostly they were supposed to show the owners social status and wealth. 
 
Maces are predecessors of well known scepters (also called maces).
